The Journey

In this episode of Relentless Conversations, Leticia Wiley joins K. Noel to celebrate their birthday. This is episode is packed with laughs, tears and words of healing. Leticia talks about her journey as a gospel artist and the lessons she has learned along the journey and most importantly how God kept her.

Leticia I. D. Wiley affectionately called “Tish” is the 2nd daughter of Apostle George H. Wiley & Mother Theresa A. Wiley. She was a feisty, quick-witted, energetic, little girl that loved to see people happy and make them smile. It is no wonder that her name means “joyfulness”. She was filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 6 and fell in love with the joy that God brought into her life. Shortly after receiving the Holy Ghost, it was prophesied to her that God would anoint her hands to play an instrument, write songs, and minister to the world in song! As she grew older, her love to see and make people happy increased. She never wanted to encounter a person feeling down and leave them feeling that way. She would do or say something to cheer them up but then offer a prayer with them. Growing up in the church, Leticia was afforded the opportunity to grow musically singing in the choir at the age of 2, and playing the keyboard for choirs at the age of 13. In 2006, Leticia wrote her first song entitled, “Lead Me to the Rock” which shared the testimony of a dark place that she was in. She contemplated walking away from everything she had ever known, but it was then that she realized the power of God was able to hold her and sustain in the midst of it all! The Lord blessed her to release this song as her debut single in 2018 to all digital outlets. The testimonies from the song touched and encouraged her that she hadn’t been alone in her experience of wanting to give up. God began to deal with Leticia and call her to experience Him on a deeper level. Fear of the unknown set in and she stalled venturing into this experience but with the prayer and encouragement of her mom she took the leap of faith and realized God had so much greater for her! Thus birthing the song “New” which she prays will encourage everyone who listens to take heed to the chiding of the Lord! Even if you’re afraid to say yes, do it afraid! You won’t regret it!
